We’ve been waiting what seems like forever to share this album with you in full - we recorded most of it before the world turned upside down, and some of it while everyone was holding on tight and trying not to look down.
Your support over the last year has meant so much and we thank you for buying tickets to our shows, spinning our records, ordering our merchandise and spreading the word about our music...helping us to keep doing what we do best!
We hope that this day finds you feeling good too, and that some of these songs might become your own personal soundtrack to the all the brighter days ahead.
Lance xoxo
Very happy to say that the third album of my Spiritual Jazz project Menagerie, ‘Many Worlds’ is released today. Thanks to Phil Noy, Ross Irwin, Mark Fitzgibbon, Ben Hanlon, Daniel Farrugia, Phil Binotto, Christin Deralas, Fallon Williams and John Castle for their incredible contributions to this record. Also thanks to Freestyle Records for supporting music that sails outside the mainstream flow.
After many requests we’ve pressed up our first single of 2020 on dinked DJ friendly 7” in a custom designed sleeve.
On the B-side is a cover of the 1989 Black Box Italo House classic “Ride On Time”. Yes, you read that right. And as a special treat for the heads this track is coming out first on vinyl! These are already selling fast, so be quick!
It’s hard to think of a better way to mark our 20th anniversary than playing some of our best loved songs with the world renowned Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. There will be two COVID safe performances on March 12 and 13.
“Having the opportunity to perform our music on stage with the full Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer hall is really the stuff that dreams are made of. After such a challenging 2020 in Melbourne I feel like these hometown shows are going to be extra cathartic for all involved and so rest assured we’ll be pulling out ALL the stops.” Lance
These times we’re all living through are without precedent - and the challenges big and small sometimes seem like they just keep stacking up.
Right now all we can offer you is our goodwill and our music - but we hope that in some small way it might help smooth the road a little, and we can’t wait to be together with you again when the time is right x
