Opening at The Triffid is Brisbane all female neo-soul four piece Pink Matter, who draw inspiration from the likes of TheInternet and Hiatus Kaiyote.
Acclaimed beatmaker Godriguez, who produced Sampa The Great’s breakthrough release THE GREAT MIXTAPE, will assemble his outward looking jazz trio Godtet to support at Oxford Art Factory on August 11. A leading light of an emerging Sydney jazz underground, Godtet pushes the boundaries of improvised music within a framework of hip hop, jazz, soul and psychedelia.
Adelaide’s Wanderers picked up Best Blues/Roots band at the SA Music Awards in 2017 and open proceeding at The Gov on August 18. Their latest single “Off My Back” takes their sound into the territory of beloved US blue eyed soul acts of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
